@@MechNinja my F-35 is very small and although would be housing a 31mm EDF, it’s essentially using 2 Tiny Whoop motors as a coax. 65mm Whoops are 15-20g and hover around 40% with 4 motors (that are anything from a 0603 to a 0802). I’m hoping 2 motors is enough to make the plane fly. Hahaha the whole plane is planned to be 40g max. Definitely checked out your other vids. Great stuff. ☺️ My first step rn is seeing if the plane will fly 😂 then I’ll worry about efficiency and different props between the first and second motors.

Most imporant suggestion, make the fan housing two parts and put the fance in the middle immediately faceing each other instead of this far apart. Second: the rear fan needs LESS angle od attack as the first. This is because the swirrl of the first cause an natural increase of the angle of attack for the second. So it needs less physicxal angle of attack. Heino Dittmar did counter rotating fans in the late 90th as the canned motors of that time were so ineffective and have elaborate this already. Got lost with more effective motors that the increase of effectivity of counter rotating fans got lost für simplicity of design with single fans.

    • @MechNinja

You cannot use lead screw for print bed, because the Y & X axis requires much speed which can only be achieved using the timing belt, using the lead screw will reduce the speed.

I feel like this is the AK47 of 3D printers. It's pure function, bit darn if it doesn't work. If you already have a 3D printer - including this one - some of the process could be simplified at the cost of PVC filament, I think. You could print your own T and L connectors on the frame, for instance. The X axis mountings could also be 3D printed instead of "machined", and instead of using zip-ties to secure the line bearings, you could make some form if either press-fit or welded attachment instead. Also, to make the machine more robust, consider weaving the wires into the pipes. Exposed wiring is wiring that can take damage after all. Great build, and I hope you iterate this design. It has a lot of promise!

For the 6 blade the battery is full 12,20 volts but whit the 12 blade is more discharged 11,69 volt . I think... it is important that the voltage output from the battery is always the same, otherwise the ampere will increase and the engine will perform less. What do you think? The test is intresting!
